Anchor Bay to Release New Special Editions of Re-Animator and Phantasm (among others)

Restored Picture and Sound, Newly Produced Bonus Materials Are Hallmarks of This New Specialty Line; Stuart Gordon's Re-Animator and Don Coscarelli's Phantasm Inaugurate Label BURBANK, CA - Anchor Bay Entertainment, whose DVDs have consistently set the standard for excellence, announces today The Anchor Bay Collection, a new line of special limited edition DVDs celebrating some of the most revered contemporary classic cult and horror films. Featuring completely restored picture and sound, boasting new audio mixes and transfers, as well as featuring all newly produced bonus materials, The Anchor Bay Collection gives the phrase "getting the Anchor Bay treatment" a whole new level of meaning in home entertainment quality! The first release under the new label will be Stuart Gordon's classic 1985 horror film Re-Animator, available on March 20, 2007. The announcement was made by Mark Ward, vice president, acquisitions, Anchor Bay Entertainment. Future "Anchor Bay Collection" releases include Don Coscarelli's 1978 cult favorite Phantasm, the 1994 sequel Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead, and an upcoming "Hammer Films" box set.
