Anchor Bay to Release New Special Editions of Re-Animator and Phantasm (among others)
ANCHOR BAY ENTERTAINMENT UNVEILS THE ANCHOR BAY COLLECTION SPECIAL EDITION DVDs CELEBRATING CLASSIC CULT & HORROR FILMS

Restored Picture and Sound, Newly Produced Bonus Materials Are Hallmarks of This New Specialty Line; Stuart Gordon's Re-Animator and Don Coscarelli's Phantasm Inaugurate Label

BURBANK, CA - Anchor Bay Entertainment, whose DVDs have consistently set the standard for excellence, announces today The Anchor Bay Collection, a new line of special limited edition DVDs celebrating some of the most revered contemporary classic cult and horror films. Featuring completely restored picture and sound, boasting new audio mixes and transfers, as well as featuring all newly produced bonus materials, The Anchor Bay Collection gives the phrase "getting the Anchor Bay treatment" a whole new level of meaning in home entertainment quality! The first release under the new label will be Stuart Gordon's classic 1985 horror film Re-Animator, available on March 20, 2007. The announcement was made by Mark Ward, vice president, acquisitions, Anchor Bay Entertainment. Future "Anchor Bay Collection" releases include Don Coscarelli's 1978 cult favorite Phantasm, the 1994 sequel Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead, and an upcoming "Hammer Films" box set.

"Not only will The Anchor Bay Collection create definitive, archival editions of some of the greatest horror films ever made, but also embrace the best in cult films as well."

The Anchor Bay Collection releases exemplify Anchor Bay's continued promise to present the best in classic contemporary film, with the best DVD presentations featuring:

. Newly created transfers and audio mixes, sourced from the best possible film and audio elements;
. A wealth of new bonus materials including newly recorded audio commentaries and on-camera interviews;
. Filmmaker participation (when possible), including transfer approval and bonus materials;
. Collectable packaging with newly commissioned artwork and consumer premiums (on selected titles);
. Limited Edition runs (on selected titles) to enhance collectability.
