I have been an avid film fan for as long as I can remember breathing. From a early age I have always been known amongst friends and colleagues in my life as 'that film guy,' one of those special beings with a large supply of film knowledge tucked away in the brain somewhere! Many individuals have also been lucky enough to know me as the obsessed Lost fan who mulled over every detail regarding Oceanic 815 and its survivors for far too many hours during its six year run (and for the record, I still do). People sometimes like to ask me for recommendations regarding what I consider to be the best in cinema, whether it is for films in theaters or to inquire into my knowledge base on what is newly available on home media. I would like to think this means readers will enjoy exploring my reviews found here at DVDTalk for countless consumable hours. Before joining this site as a reviewer, I had prior experience writing reviews covering anime and general animation releases for the enthusiast website Animated Bliss. I am also pursuing screenwriting as an endeavor. I hope to one day make it as a writer-director and fulfill my dream of making movies. It's my life long dream and I won't give up until it happens. I have written two feature film screenplays on spec (meaning they are 'speculative screenplays'): The Briefcase, a sci-fi thriller with romance and film references galore and Venture, a high concept sci-fi adventure set in a virtual world. Some of my favorite filmmakers include Steven Spielberg, Hayao Miyazaki, M. Night Shyamalan, Robert Zemeckis, Quentin Tarantino, John Hughes, Ingmar Bergman, Peter Jackson, Wes Anderson and Akira Kurosawa. My favorite film of all time is Back to the Future. I have revisited it so many times over the years. To me it's a perfect film full of heart, humor, and adventure. I always appreciate feedback and would be glad to hear from readers. Feel free to contact me anytime via e-mail with questions or comments.
